Anna & Tim Robards

Anna and Tim Robards’ brilliant Sydney coastal home is a hive of Australian industry. As well as being a family base for their two young daughters, it’s action central for the couple’s respective local businesses – Anna with her Intu Wellness and Tim with his Elle Rosé wine that has captured the attention of some of Australia’s top sommeliers.

They say that opposites attract with their two brands at opposite ends of the feel-good spectrum. Anna’s supplements are created to promote a good night’s rest, gut health and skin radiance, while Tim’s delicious Elle Rosé is created for radiance in a different way!

“We make it all work,” says Anna with a laugh. “There’s only tension when we try to sync our diaries.”

It seems a lifetime ago that the couple first met on “The Bachelor” TV show in 2013, when Sydney chiropractor, Tim Robards, chose Anna Heinrich, then a criminal lawyer, with the final rose. They had the dream wedding in 2018 and then along came their two daughters, Elle and Ruby. Now they’re also two of the country’s most in demand brand ambassadors with 632,000 followers between them on Instagram alone.

During those 12 years, Tim, 42 and Anna, 38 say they have changed physically (and mentally), into the best version of themselves. The two encapsulate a healthy glamour that’s part of the Australian lifestyle, along with a renewed confidence in themselves and each other. Their `playground’ is their Sydney beachside property with a generous lap pool, sauna and ice bath.

Intu Wellness, the supplement brand that Anna started with entrepreneur, Christie Whitehall, is backed by a team of experts, naturopaths and scientists. “We will have some new products hitting the market soon,” she says. “But for now, they’re top secret.”

Anna and Christie also have their own podcast, In Your Skin, where they host a range of celebrities and experts to take a granular approach to skincare, health and well-being.

For his part, Tim Robards enjoys dabbling in the wine industry.

“Serious wine makers are almost a brotherhood,” he says. Nevertheless, the tantalising, award-winning Elle Rosé, which he developed with Shun Eto, and named after his first daughter, is expanding each vintage to meet increasing demand. It’s proof that exceptional rosé wines can be made right here in Australia.

“The big difference is that we only produce rosé wines,” Tim explains, while for many local winemakers, rosé is an add-on to their existing reds and whites. But we devote ourselves to this elegant style and it shows.”

In the meantime, he’s also concentrating on his acting career, which has already included a stint on Neighbours. “There’s been some challenging times,” he admits. “I waited almost a year to get another role.”

He was then cast in an action movie – Voltron with Henry Cavill, Rita Ora and a host of other promising young Australian actors. It was shot on the Gold Coast with the support of the Queensland Government’s Production Attraction Strategy to back local jobs in the creative arts.

Today, he’s also prepping for a session with his acting coach just before an audition for another major film role. He has his own small studio just off the dining room, which includes a sophisticated lighting set-up against a white backdrop. It’s essential, as a mature man, he has to compete with young Australian thespians fresh out of the country’s best acting schools. But Tim Robards has something that many don’t have yet – a presence and a profile.

The Gold Coast is now a key destination for the Robards, as they recently moved up there, having purchased an apartment off the plan. This turned out to be a savvy buy, as it has already doubled in price. For now, they’re living there while also keeping their Sydney home when they return to the Harbour City for work.

From the outside, Tim and Anna Robards certainly look like a golden couple who have it all. However, they would be the first to admit that the reality is very different. Day-to-day life is often controlled chaos with so many demands on their time and in the current economic climate they have to seize every opportunity as it comes up. Those one-on-one acting lessons for Tim can also really eat into the budget.

“Starting any new business is very tough,” comments Anna, “I could easily work on Intu Wellness 24/7 because there’s so many issues to solve.” Tim has also come up with several roadblocks with his wine company.

“Our 2025 vintage will produce 12,000 bottles,” he says. “However, we do our own distribution and I’m also learning how to market them online.”

Tim and Anna Robards are both driven to succeed but family will always come first.

“We’re cherishing this time we have with the girls,” Tim says. “Their childhood is so special and we want to be there for every moment of it.”
