Sculpture Art

Fresh off their Paddington NSW exhibition, partners in life and art, Ulan Murray and Rachel Burns have blended their horticultural and artistic talents inspired by the natural environment that surrounds their farm property home.

They  create  beautiful copper and bronze sculptures honouring  the  natural environment. Their process involvessourcingsecond-hand copper cables from scrap yards, which they strip, unwind and straighten. They use steel to sketch the tree’s form and wrap it in the copper. Each branch is carefully  formed,  with individual wires attached to create the intricate pattern of foliage. This painstaking process involves twisting and shaping each wire into place, one by one.
